| Duty Cycle Notes | "Recommended Monthly Page Volume" is a range of pages that helps customers evaluate Lexmark’s product offerings based on the average number of pages customers plan to print on the device each month. Lexmark recommends that the number of pages per month be within the stated range for optimum device performance, based on factors including: supplies replacement intervals, paper loading intervals, speed, and typical customer usage. "Maximum Monthly Duty Cycle" is defined as the maximum number of pages a device could deliver in a month using a multishift operation. This metric provides a comparison of robustness in relation to other Lexmark printers and MFPs. |
| Specified Operating Environment | Temperature: 16 to 32°C Humidity: 8 to 80% Relative Humidity Altitude: 0 - 2500 Metres Temperature: 16 to 24°C with Finisher attached |
Q. Is the Lexmark W840 Toner Cartridge compatible with any other Lexmark printer?
A. No. The Lexmark W840 has a unique toner cartridge that is only used with this printer.
Q. What features does the Finisher offer?
A. The Finisher provides multi-position stapling, hole punching, offset stacking and an additional output bin. It supports up to 3,500 sheets of unstapled, un-punched media. It can staple up to a maximum of 50 sheets in each stapled set.
Q. What is the Lexmark Coverage Estimator?
A. The Lexmark Coverage Estimator uses an algorithm to count the picture elements (pixels) in the composite page to estimate the percent coverage. When the Coverage Estimator has been turned ON from the printer's operator panel Utility Menu, the calculated estimate is printed on a separate page at the end of the job. This handy tool allows you to quickly and easily determine the amount of toner used on a given page, even in complex photographs and images. Understanding the cost of the page is then just a matter of a few simple calculations. Of course, the Coverage Estimator is only an estimate of the coverage on a given page. For the toner used, the minimum percentage reported will be two percent and reported values may vary from one printer to another. The accuracy of the estimates may be affected by the fullness of the print cartridges, environmental conditions, media type, application, application settings, driver, driver settings, and the content of the page. Lexmark makes no claim as to the accuracy of the estimated percents.
